Alpina is established in Colombia:
Alpina's origins trace back to 1945 when Swiss cheesemakers Max Bazinger and Walter Goggel, our visionary founders, chose Sopo, a charming town near Bogotá, Colombia, as their new home.
Enchanted by the breathtaking Andean landscape, they discovered a striking resemblance to their native Switzerland.
Coupled with convenient access to local dairy farms, the duo decided to establish their legacy.
To turn their dream into reality, Max and Walter secured a bank loan, acquiring 11 acres to construct their factory.
They aptly named it Alpina, paying homage to their Alpine heritage. Over the years, Alpina has blossomed into one of the most cherished and respected brands in South America, seamlessly integrating its products into the daily lives of millions of people.
